SELANGOR IDAMANKU
okla, aku mmg suke selangor. aku stay kat selangor ni da lame da., okla, pembangunan makin pesat. but still ade a few things yg boleh diubahkan. Aku tgk selangor ni byk tanah kosong. Dari dulu smpai skrng kosong je, bile la nk membangunkan tanah2 tersebut. tanah yg aku mksdkan itu ade la di pinggir2 selangor ye. bkn dkt subang tu smue. so bagi kteorng remaja2 nie., xdela port lepak kat tmpt sme je., buhsan dah. n yes, system transportation, tlg la upgrade sket. nk kteorng gne public trnsport, tp service mcm naharam lak. ape cer kn? so, why not letak duet sket kat public transportation. sebab aku skrng duduk kat bestari jaya. so mcm mind aku skrng ke arah kwsan kampung ni je yg agk ketinggalan berbanding subang, sepang, klia itu smue. so, i hope selangor dpt membangun dgn rapidnye mengalahkan bndar2 lain seperti new york dan tokyo.

"We write our own future" -MYLIFE-
A |
ssalamualaikum, my name is Muhammad Imad Aiman bin Md Yusop, I was born on 20th may 1990 at Pantai Medical Hospital, Bangsar. I have three siblings of which I am the youngest one. I am considered as a heavy baby by the doctors as soon as my mother gave birth to me. I was told by my parents that my name was given by both of my grandparents. I considered it as an unique name and people seems to remember my name easily. During my years as an infant, I suffered from a disease called asthma. I had to inhale a tube of special gas every time I had an asthma attack. I remembered at that time, I had to go to the nearby hospital regularly for medical check-ups from time to time. Alhamdulillah, as I grow older, the disease seems to fade away. Today, I am an asthma free person.
When I was little, I stayed at subang jaya and enjoyed my kindergartens years there. I wore short pants every time I went to class and my favourite class was exercise back then. We were left out to play at the playground during class period. As I grew older, I moved to Bukit Damansara and stayed with my grandparents. My parents would visit me during the weekends as they were busy with their work. I received my first formal education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Damansara when I was 7 years old. My grandfather would always drive us, siblings and cousins, to school and back. He drove an old, white Volkswagen beetle which I adore so much. Sadly, the white beetle was sold several years later after his death. He was very strict and responsible type of person which I still looked up to till this day. He passed away at Mecca after performing the Hajj.
During my primary school days, I remembered of being this quiet and shy type of person. I was always bullied by other kids because of my ugly looks and shy attitude. I was the person who no one would choose to be in their group whenever there was a group discussion or something. It was harsh to be in a school full of rich kids and people tend to discriminates others. I remembered of wanting to join the school running team but was left out because I was not popular. Nevertheless, after my UPSR exams, I scored straight A's and was promoted to enter a renowned boarding school (sbp) called Sekolah Menengah Sains Selangor. I made lots of friend and foe at the school. All the memory I had for 5 straight years studying there will I cherish till I die.
During my third formers, again, I scored straight A's for my PMR examination and decided to stay at the school. We were like brothers between our batch mates and everything we do, we do as one. That school teaches me lots of valuable thing during my teen’s life. That was also the time where we experimented with new things and tried to break the law because of our hungry, young blood. However, during my senior years, I decided to study science because of my ever growing interest on how and why things revolve around us. I was mesmerized by the laws of nature and how everything seems perfect and balances in this world we live in.
From that day onwards, I wanted to be someone who can help the society and try to make our country stand tall among other superpower countries, without the help of dirty politics. Needleless to say, I managed to scored 7 A's from 10 subjects during my SPM examination. After school, I was called to attend the national service first intake. At first, I was upset when i received the news. However, after 3 months of hard gruelling time at the camp, I realised, I did learned some valuable things during my stint. I get to know people from all over Malaysia and get to hear their part of story.
However, I noticed something is not right with our community. We still practice racism after more than 50 years of independent. The Indians would be in their racial group and the Chinese would be in their own group too whenever there was an activity. This is not a racist statement, but this is the reality of Malaysia. From that day onwards, I knew something is not right with our politics. Malaysia people are not “one” in every way. Hence, the rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer. Not to worry, I am not going to write about politics in here, but what really matter to me is that the real problem that face our society today is not politic but democracy.
So, what is democracy really means? Democracy is the power of people to choose their own leader. Sounds fair but there’s a twist. There’s always a twist. Democracy can also mean the advantage of a certain party to rise above the rest because they have their own means whereas others don’t. So, as I searched about democracy, I found out that democracy was created by the Greeks. Hence, as an Islamic nation, we are living under the west laws, and the term "free country" didn't really mean anything. So, the question is why? Why shouldn't we practice Islamic laws and order since we are an Islamic nation? Is Islam too backwards and shouldn't be consider to “fit” in this new modern world?
Nevertheless, the hypothesis is unacceptable. During the Islamic golden age, Islam was considered as the superpower of that time. When they were studying astronomy, the Europeans were still carving sharp ends from stone. In fact, the rise of Europe (renaissance period) is considered with the help of the Arab people (Islam in particular) and yet, we, as a normal people didn't know this. We were told in our textbooks that the whites were superior to us since the beginning of time which is wrong. That is why people look down towards Islam today. We have been brain-washed too many times from the west and our self-confidents shrinks greatly especially the Malay people.
Sadly, Malays tends to follow people easily without questioning why. Our history books were full of lies and were made that way so that we think that the west is superior to us in every way. That is democracy to you. Based on my writing, you can tell by now what type of person I am. I am the type of person who loves questioning things. I picked science and technology as my path because I know that technology is the one that moves us forward, not politicians or laws. I know, with science and technology, I can help other people from the village or elsewhere to live comfortably. I hope I can achieve something extraordinary during my lifetime, for example, changing our education system especially science and mathematics to be based on the holy Quran such as they did during the reign of the powerful Ottoman Empire.
During my free time, I love to read informative books and play football. I enjoyed reading computer books such as html, xhtml, java...etc. In fact, a few months back, my friend and I created a website for online shopping. It didn't turn out well because we are using other people script and the website turn out to be a normal low traffic website, just like the other million online shopping website on the net. Nevertheless, to create a good website from scratch, to me, is not easy to do yet. I am still learning to write and organize css and html sheets like a pro. Yes, I can create a normal website but not as fancy as facebook.com.
At first, I didn't really like computers because I am more towards the engineering/building type of person, but then, I realised how computers have made a great impact on our society and how important it is today. My interest skyrocketed when I found out that the early mechanical/computer device, the Antikythera Mechanism had been here since 100-150 BCE! Way long before the IBM was born and much longer before the first internet (Arpanet) is being used by the Americans as a military communication during World War 2. So, what really happen back then? Does the "aliens" fall from the sky and teaches humankind advanced numerical system and left us without leaving a trace? I leave the answer for you to conclude.
That is why history plays an important role to shape human's behaviour and the way we act. I hope one day, a more advance supercomputers can make anything impossible to possible for humankind. My dream is to travel the world and learn their history and culture. Speaking of travelling, I’ve been to the US and London when I was young. From the way they live their normal everyday life, their life are way too different than us in Malaysia. Everything over there seems to be more organized and systematic. That is, when I realised the different between a first world country and a third world country. I noticed that people in the west love and cherish their history so much, whereas people in Malaysia seems to not bother at all about their own history.
Over there, the west looked down towards Malaysian people which are a sad case. They think of us as a lower class from them. When I told them I was a Malaysian, most of them didn't know if the country really exists or not. As Malaysians, we tend to think inside our own box, but were too afraid to explore beyond our comfort area. We are afraid to try something new and were too scared to accept critics. As a young generation of Malaysia, I will not let this country to stay like this. I will try my best to help this country move forward in the future. I had my falls in the past but I had learned my mistake from it and try to not repeat the same mistake. They say, when you failed once, you learn. But when you failed twice, you don't learn.
Furthermore, whenever I think of science, I think of complex numbers/names full of laws and methods. I once walked around Kuala Lumpur and observed what people and things were doing. I wonder if it is not for Thomas Edison to create the light bulb, the lights on the streets of Kuala Lumpur would not be there and business around the city would not be as pack as it is today. So, I came to a conclusion that science, laws, elements and everything in between has been here since the beginning of time, but the way we harness the thinking, takes time.
That is why I belief in the holy Quran which stated that everything had been written. The world is consisted of pairs so that it is balance, but not ever lasting. For example, the computer was made from the simplest form of numbers which are 1 and 0. There are other examples such as good-bad, men-women, rich-poor, light-dark, and everything else. And that is the main reason why the west hated Islam the most. They will always think of Islam as a threat and will always try to distinguish our belief. As an Islamic nation, I personally think we must study science based on the holy Quran for us to move forward. I am not saying that the Newton’s law is wrong or Isaac Newton is full of lies, but what I am saying is that we can try to think in a way based on the holy Quran and Hadith, two things our beloved prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) leave us with.
Hence, if this "new" way of thinking is being thought in school, Insha’Allah, the glory days of Islam will be back. Just imagine, Malaysia to create a new technology which is not based on the ideology of the west but instead is based on the very basic foundation of Islam. Hence, we would not be spending millions of dollars buying some “antique” foreign machine which had been used several times before. I remembered, when I was in the secondary school, my friend and I tried to build a bomb from mixing some weird colour liquid we stole from the science laboratory. Our effort was stopped by the discipline teacher half way through completion of the “beginners” bomb. This incident shows that human being has the ability to think freely but when they grow older, this “ability” seems to fade away because of their nasty surroundings such as war, politics and family issue.
So, here I am, writing this assignment early in the morning. I’ve known the world for 21 years and I can’t wait to find out what’s in store for me in the future. I have my dreams and goals so do you. After spending more than 3 weeks in Unisel, I found out that this university has its own pros and cons. Needleless to say; I really hope that the university management team would install the wifi in our dormitory as soon as possible; because it’s easier for us to do our revision using the internet. Furthermore, the internet is the only means of connection between us and the world outside our boundary. We are a developing country, aren’t we?
